Join us for our unique and exclusive 2026 photo charter, featuring a modern freight consist led by fan-favorite diesel engine BDRV GP-9 #752, affectionately known as Harold! This is your last opportunity to photograph the locomotive before it receives its new paint job, so don’t miss your chance to capture Harold in his historic livery.
Tickets go on sale for this exclusive event on Thursday, September 3, at 7:00 PM EST, and are expected to sell quickly.

Read below for more information about the three photo session packages we will offer for the BDRV #752 Photo Special!

Package 1: Daytime Session
About: The Daytime Session will run between Ringoes and Flemington stations, with multiple exclusive photo stops along the way that are typically inaccessible to the average photographer, plus runbys featuring actors with props.
Duration: Please plan to arrive at Ringoes Station at approximately 9:30 AM for check-in. The session will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. The session will end at approximately 5:00 PM.
Lunch: We encourage guests to bring their own simple packed lunch to enjoy on board the train between photo stops.
Package 2: Nighttime Session
About: The Nighttime Session will feature professionally staged and lit static photo opportunities in at least two planned locations, with runbys featuring actors and props.
Duration: Please plan to arrive at Ringoes Station at approximately 5:30 PM for check-in. The session will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. The session will end at approximately 10:00 PM.
Package 3: Combination Session
About: The Combination Session includes all the features of both sessions, plus a complimentary pizza dinner between the sessions.
Duration: Please plan to arrive at Ringoes Station at approximately 9:30 AM for check-in. The session will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. The session will end at 5:00 PM.
Lunch: We encourage guests to bring their own simple packed lunch to enjoy on board the train between photo stops.
Dinner: The Combination Session includes a complimentary pizza dinner from approximately 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM, between the two sessions.
Additional Information
- Ticket holders will receive a more detailed itinerary a few days before the event date so they can plan their day.
- This event will be held rain or shine. Some features may be modified based on the weather.
- Please note that anyone under 15 years old attending this event MUST be accompanied by a paying adult. This event is not recommended for young children.
- Ticket holders must bring their own photography equipment (for example, a camera and a tripod).
- Black River & Western Railroad is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to cameras, photography equipment, or other personal property. Guests bring and use all equipment at their own risk.
- Some photo locations may require walking over rough, uneven, or unpaved terrain. Guests should be prepared and physically able to navigate these conditions safely. Guests must wear sturdy, appropriate footwear, such as steel-toed boots, and long pants (no shorts!).
- Restrooms are not available in or near Flemington Station. Limited restroom facilities are available on board the train for emergency situations only and are not guaranteed. Ask a staff member for assistance. Restrooms are available at Ringoes Station in the lower level of the station.
- Power: All departures are powered by one of our vintage diesel-electric locomotives. We reserve the right to substitute motive power at any time for any reason and without advance notice.
